Long-term lurker to this brilliant resource, I hope one of you can advise me.
I recently diagnosed the source of a drivetrain creak on my year-old white Triban 3 to my right-side crank bolt coming slightly loose. It hasn't been too bad, but it was noticeably creakier after a long ride this weekend. Having read up on square-taper spindles and riding them while loose, I'm concerned this means the whole bottom bracket and crank might need replacing. I'm slightly annoyed I didn't realise it was the cranks before riding them while even a bit loose!
I've now tightened the cranks fully, and it has solved the issue for the last 20 or so miles ridden. If it keeps coming back (and I'm fairly sure it will!), what's the best replacement option? I'd love to replace the groupset but I'm pretty skint.
Many thanks!

If the tightened bolts have fixed it - then the issue is the bolts backing off.
I would get hold of some Loctite 222 or similar medium hold threadlock - that will stop the bolts backing off.
