Are fork dropouts all the same? Is it possible to fit a quick release front wheel onto a bike that comes with a bolt in front wheel? Before someone says "try it", I have a spare roadbike front wheel, but I don't have the single speed YET......

pretty sure fronts are all the same, but rears have various spacing. I had to expand the steel bike rear dropouts by 15mm.

Odd query as you've counted out the only practical answer ! We see all sorts of odd things on the Scouts bikes, for your scenario, the answer is likely most are the same but there's only one way to find out.

Rear spacing wise, you can usually go up a size on steel frames with no issues or cold setting. Doing that on Ali or Carbon isn't recommended.
However, I think you're talking about axle diameter which can be different. You might not get a bolted through axle onto the droputs on a frame meant for QRs.

Forks are all 100mm spacing, qr axles are 9mm dia, slightly thinner than solid 10mm ones so will fit.
