My Red Triban 3 (lower case) has a 31.8mm derailleur clamp, not 34.9 which is stated in the Tech Spec thread. Discovered after ordering a 34.9mm braze-on adapter for my groupset upgrade . This is imprinted on the inside of the original band-on. Guess I'll be riding my inferior and more expensive bike until a replacement arrives

Have you got mudguard and carrier bosses on the seatstays? I wonder if some of the early Tribans used the previous 'sport' frame in Triban colours? Someone on here posted they'd bought a Triban 3 with a 27.2 seatpost.

Interesting - it was one of the earliest Triban 3 frames, bought just after the Southampton Deca opened. Will check for bosses when I get home. Does have the carbon fork and the rest of the spec seems the same...

Looking at your photo RobP yours didn't have the carrier bosses on the seat tubes, maybe these were the frames made by Dedaccia before B'Twin made them themselves with a few modifications? I think the 'made in Italy' or 'Made in Romania' stickers refer to where the bikes were assembled.

Don't know about the Dedaccia possibility chas but this second example confirms my findings were not a one off
