The replacement model for the much loved white Triban 300 arrived on my doorstep this afternoon so I thought I'd share with you guys. Haven't had a chance to take it on a long trek but an hour round town then onto the velodrome proved it to be a nice ride. One word of warning, the red parts are pretty fluorescent in person which doesn't show on pictures on the decathlon website, not that I mind.

Warm welcome Andreeew. Let's just call the florescent bits a safety feature. Though if you find it not to your taste replacing the handlebar tape isn't such a big deal.
I too believe you are a first for the forum with your new steed. Please keep us up to date with your on going test rides.

I like it. Passed one in Belfast during the week. The Fluro is a little bit strong but a nice colour scheme none the less.

Having seen one in the flesh, they really look the business! And although I found the microSHIFT shifting weird, they feel solid! Bloke here in the office is dead happy with his.

I always thought it was orange, looking at the pics on the Deca website. If it's red then there are going to be more fast bikes to contend with. I mean, red and black - speed and stealth. What's not to like??

It looks a really nice bike, you wouldn't think it was just Β£280!

It's amazing really, I've not had to touch my lad's Microshift other than a few little rear barrel tweaks, so there's no worries there - some larger riders may need to tweak it more occasionally but it's far better than the original red T3 running kit and Rocket has road tested it for thousands of miles in all weathers (serviced it well of course, which is half the battle). The rest of the set up is functional and robust, the wheels will do but on the bright side, they can be burned out without any worries and upgraded in due course - looks slick, great starter bike, commuter or winter trainer, at less than the cost of a 105 group set.

Hi andrew, I'm loving the look of the new bike and am in the process of purchasing one myself!
Weird question I know, but could you tell me the dimensions of the cardboard box the bike came in?
Thanks!

Hi andrew, I'm loving the look of the new bike and am in the process of purchasing one myself! Weird question I know, but could you tell me the dimensions of the cardboard box the bike came in? Thanks! Just cut it up this morning unfortunately! It was around 1m high, 1.8m long and 25cm wide to my best estimates, seemed massive from the outside but fitted the bike nicely with the handlebars removed. As for the colour debate its fluorescence can't be questioned but seems to shift between orange, red and slightly pink under different light. Got some Shimano 540 SPD pedals on the way which should spice things up nicely, will do an extensive video review once I've stretched it's legs over a 50 mile ride next week.
