My right knee has had pain for the last few weeks but the funny thing is its not that sore when pedaling but mostly when walking up or down stairs, could this have any thing to do with cycling or the position of saddle ect? if so i think it might be the T3a as i have really only started riding it again since changing the chain set/carbon forks, i have the saddle as far forward as it will go, i bought a 90 mm deda stem last year because i felt i was stretched using the stock 100mm, ended up flipping the stem upwards because i still felt stretched with the 90mm but then since adding forks and chainset i flipped it back down because it looked better, i might have a go at reversing that again and see what happens, also been thinking of a bike fit but i have 2 bikes so i don't know how much that would cost to get fitted for both

baz can you describe where you feel this knee pain originates from? Should help the diagnosis.

As above. 1 fit should do both bikes if the fitter sorts you out with a list of measurements so you can tweak the other bike. If the cycling is causing it then you can be almost sure that it's saddle positioning causing it.

The boyo I justsaw for my fit last year wouldn't charge much for saddle position and cleat alignment.

I've trotted this link out before, but it's what I used to do my bike fit, with the aid of my reluctant and disinterested daughter.. It's really meant for their bike fit system, but all I needed was a weight on a string to measure fore/aft saddle position (plumb-line from the kneecap to pedal axle) www.bikefit.com/s-13-road-bikes.aspxThere's a diagram on knee pain down the page, but front knee pain can be sorted by saddle up and back.
