Replace your gear cables!!! Amazing difference. Changed them for the first time since new. The lever clicks! Mine had always 'pulled' the cable to change gear. Combined with a new cassette and chain the difference is immense. Can't wait to get out for a proper spin tomorrow.
New. Fulcrum 7's also on and seem to be a joy. I love how quickly they allow acceleration. Did a weigh in also with them loaded up.
Stock rear wheel with stock cassette, skewers, tubes and tyre was 1968g. Front with skewer tyre and tube was 1442g so massive total of 3410g.
New Fulcrum 7 front with Michelin pro4 sc, skewer and tube is 1188g. Rear with new cassette, tyre, tube and skewer is 1688g totalling 2876g.
Over half a kilo saved! More than happy but the proof will be in the riding I guess.
170mm cranks also fitted so keen to see if they make a difference to climbing. Mechanic said the BB was impossible to budge without risking breaking so left it in. It will do until I go full Shimano 105 after the winter.
