Took too tight of a turn with my Triban 3 with stock Hutchinson Equinox tyres in the rain, completely lost all grip on the back tyre and it slid out from underneath me (these wheels are dangerous XD) anyway my entire right shifter was bent inward and I hit it back into position and now it's fine. Are the shifters designed to bend to protect from damage to the levers or something in case of a fall?

I did the same thing. They are held in place with a hex bolt. You might want to peel back the hood and tighten it a little. I was out on Monday and noticed mine was loose. A few turns with an Allen key and it was right as rain.

Ltd for Β£10 +vat Speak to Jack Gibson 01332 274283 Or contact microshift Taiwan directly (sales@microshift.com.tw) and they may send you the red ones if you explain the problem getting hold of them. The hoods are SB-R 483 so refer to them with that reference no. and everything should be fine.

I think it's just luck tbh. I've fallen 3 times. Twice the shifters just moved round a bit and could be put back. Once I completely wrecked both and had to get replacements.

Above info only applies to the Triban 3a

A few turns with an Allen key and it was right as rain. Found it, loosened it off and straightened the shifter out and re-tightened, cracking! Nearly had a heart attack when I saw it bent right over, I assumed I had bent the entire handlebar haha. Thanks!

I thought the exact same thing when it happened to me, even going so far as to ask a member of staff in Decathlon if it's possible to straighten handlebars or if that would possibly cause stress fractures.
