It may have a nicer paint job, but are microshift components better than shimano 2300? So what are you getting for the extra £80?

Hi I have both the red t3 which I use for touring and a 500se which I got about 2 weeks ago if you get 1 of the first 1000 500se you get a sorta crank ,micro shifters better tyres and a nice paint job IMHO definitely worth the extra £80.00 that said I still like my t3

No way is the paint job better. I love the bright red.

Not a great deal, but probably 'just' enough to warrant an extra £80.00 (matter of opinion whether Shimano 2300 is better than Microshift) Problem is, you can't get the original (in normal sizes!) anymore, so the 500 is still a great bike.
