Just you try and stop me!!! Absolutely no intention of doing that. Just take that "spinning off the top of the hill" feeling and bottle it. Powerful stuff!

"It never gets easier, you just go faster". Do not agree with that.when it comes to climbing. If you phsically can not do a climb or you really struggle, with practice it becomes easier with fitness.

I agree, I've only really recently started hitting any hills (must go back to Streatley soon... maybe tomorrow evening when I've dropped thew kids off) and after a month it is easier, I think more psycologically as I KNOW I will get up, Now I push myself to go up faster though (still slow - veloviewer position scores on hills is MUCH worse than on flats/downhills) - I still totally destroyed at the top, probably as bad, but much better at the bottom.

My best advice (i am no expert), if its a killer hill is dont look at the top, look in front of the wheel and i sometime sing a catchy song in my head.

I think the opening sequence of Vienna is probably more appropriate to the pace we'll be climbing at on the S West Sizzler

Brilliant!! But it is ussually a Nursery rhyme or a queen song. No idea why queen! (apart from them being epic!)

Oh god... what have you done. Kate Bush is on my MP3 list on the phone, so quite possible I may try that out. I fear it may be a nightmare.
Looking just in front of the wheel is probably sound advice, I try to focus just a few metres (maybe 20) ahead and take it a bit at a time.

Perhaps look closer, take the Froome approach and just admire your stem.

When I was looking at a Cotswold route I kinda though any area with a village called Painswick must be trouble!
