I am very angry the cursed device will not see any sensors or the phone! Did a factory reset and still no joy. It was playing up yesterday after a ten mile ride. Just kept sticking on a screen. Had the hold the button down on the side to shut it down. Then this morning this issue! Good thing I kept CycleMeter on my phone!
Any advise on the people? Still under warranty. Would love to give it back!

How long have you had the 510? I recall reading on tinkerweb issues like this when the unit was first released but thought a software update had fixed the issue. These Garmins are not cheap bit of kit, I'd be sending it back for a replacement if it is not working as it should.

I am waiting for a reply from Garmin support - 3 days wait. Rubbish!

Anyone can explain way my sensors can't see my Edge 510 anymore? I did a hard boot by holding all the buttons down and not letting go until the splash screen went. Got a diagnostic screen. Had to enable all sensors in the menu. So now the phone can connect but no sensors. Changed the battery in the HRM unit and still no joy. Email Garmin support, 3 days to wait. Anyone here had such difficulties?

I'd guess that your sensor batteries are dead, but it seems you've changed at least the one in your HRM. I've heard that sometimes you have to put the battery in the wrong way round to short the connection, wait ten seconds and replace it the right way round.

Whitestar1, is the 501 fully charged? I've met several bits of electronics that don't want to play once they are not getting enough jolts from the batteries. They can still switch on in this state, but there's not the voltage to make the logic work properly (it needs a certain range between "1" and "0").

Thanks for your reply mate. I have re-scanned a thousand times now. So far I have gotten the HRM back online this morning. I played with it yesterday by dismantling it, changing the battery. Ended up putting back the original battery back in and its working now. Sadly the same can't be said about the GSC10. What a rubbish unit it is! The rubber washer thingy came right out. When replacing the cover with the new battery it just torn the thing apart! It's now in three or four pieces! after playing with batteries. It is displaying red and green lights with wheel and pedal movement but scanning will not show it. Sent off a third email to Garmin support this morning. Still no reply to the first on Wednesday. Anyhow its better situation now, I have a working GPS, no crashes and HRM monitoring. Just want my cadence and speed data back. I just love knowing my data.

I love mine but it was crashing this week and a shut down too many I think it went haywire, unable to record a ride - no sensors no gps data. A reset by holding all three buttons down until the splash screen disappear sent it into a diagnostic mode. after that I had GPS data again. Scary. So its just the GSC10 sensor. I intend to demand a new one from Garmin.

Still having pains with mine, did a ride this morning and there is an error in the fit file, garmin connect will not load the file! Strava did though. Did a user reset and it removed the file but no will not connect to the phone. Still not connecting to the cadence/speed sensor. Calling Garmin.
