Tick another off last night. And its official. Not only I am the slowest of all the cyclists who have bagged 10 or more in the SE, but also appears to be the slowest of everyone who have 10 or more in the whole of the UK.

Doesn't matter mate - to have 10 or more is good going, I've only got a few - in my own defence, they're usually miles away from here mind.

Actually in my mind I consider that I have done the most climbs of all the 'normal' people.

good form KiwiBeard. you done more of the 100 than any other tribanist. AND you spent more time enjoying the 10 than anyone else in the strava club. not like those silly folks that rush up tooo fast.

Somehow I'm 217th on the overall leader board on Strava - haven't a clue how with only 3 climbs on board? Edit: Although a much more realistic 943rd on the national and 131st on the SW with Veloviewer.

I am not 100% sure I could say that I actually enjoy it. But, given that I have only been riding a road bike for less than 3 months, I'm not doing bad. Once I've done the 14/14 SE from the 1st book and perhaps the x/x SE from the 2nd book, then I'll think about repeating them and hopefully with improved times.

I finally got round to properly reading the SE sections from both books, with the intention of finishing the last 4 of 14 from the first book in the next week or so. So, hopefully 'The Wall' tonight if the weather looks good. A cross London 4 hr ride to do the easiest of the 14 - Mott Street maybe this weekend, and then next week finish off with the double of Toys Hill and Yorks Hill. After that I'll start having a look at the 2nd book again, but can't see me finishing those ones this year due to one being on IoW (ie unable to be done in a 6 hour roundtrip from home). I have to say that I am glad that of the climbs I have done from both books, the one I thought was the hardest has been described by Simon as being 9/10 and "statistically this is the hardest climb in the SE" - Barhatch Lane.

Anyone still ticking off the 100climbs? I've got 2 left in the SE still. Can't see myself doing these 2 until much later in the summer.
But taken 32 seconds off my fastest time for Box Hill since the previous post in May.

13/14 in the SE. In the top seven for the region in terms of # of climbs, but 74th in terms of 'points'.
Trying to find a way to do the last one without doing a 80km roundtrip. Maybe catch a train closer or something.

In theory I have done 5 of 9 in book 2 for the SE, but one definitely won't get the 'official' segment when it goes up, and another maybe won't. I would have been able to do Ashdown Forest last night if only I looked to see where it was. Cycled past the turnoff for it and wondered whether it was the road or not. Oh well, next time.
