I've recently bought a Kryptonite ULock but don't know the best way to attach it to the bike. It's my first bike and I've never used a lock which attaches to the frame before, and I have a few concerns: 1. What's the best place to put the lock? The top bar has the brake cables and I don't know if the lock can go there. 2. Does anyone have issues with not getting the attachment tight enough? My first attempt seemed like the lock was too loose. Any advice is welcome

Hi I have recently fitted a kryptonite U lock to my T3 ( size 54 ) i used this lock on my boardman MTB, but sold the bike recently cos i love my T3 so much! After several tests on the best place to fit the lock bracket, i opted for the top frame, i found that wetting the strap before fitting, made it pretty firm and stopped it from sliding about. To be honest, i am not too sure if i will keep it on the bike, rear brake cable runs next to it, makes the bike considerably heavier and it looks nicer without it.

Leave the lock where you want to lock it up and take a small wire lock for the just in cases. IMO

Thanks for the replies everyone, it was good to see a pic of the ulock on the triban! Good advice about wetting the strap, I think I will try it and see how I like the lock on the frame, and maybe will just continue putting it into my backpack. Most of my cycling is for fun so I don't lock it up anyway.
