this is my Triban 5. It received some little upgrades if compared to the standard: Shimano RS 11 wheels Prologo Nago saddle Withe bar tape BTwin pedals I already used it in a competition: a crono for teams, where we terminated 14th on 32! Next sunday we will go the the first granfondo of 2014, let's hope it will be a success!

How can I attach images? If I try, the forum says the there is not enough space left (the image file is around 120 kb).

Hi cacciatorino - open a free account here www.photobucket.com . Upload to that site which is your own personal on line storage, then copy and paste the IMG file over as text, when you post a reply, it will show as a picture.

Yesterday I ran the first Granfondo of the year, and the very first one witn my new T5. I didn't feel very well, due to the big quantity of work and a little flu, so I decided to choose the short track (90 km, about 1200 mt total climb). The behaviour of the bike was very good. The main advantage is the triple chainset: we don't like it in Italy, and it is quite impossible to find one at the start of a race, but I have to say that it allowed me to reach and surpass a good number of competitors in the last main climb (about 1 km and half at 9-11%). In the following 3 km descent I was able to catch ad surpass other 6-7 cyclists. During the last 10 flat kms I had the possibility to collaborate with an other cyclist, so we were able to surpass other 10-12 competitors "flying" at 40 km/h more or less! The biggest problem of the T5 is the alloy frame: it is too stiff so it made me tyred sooner than the carbon frame of the ancient FC7. To be noted that roads in Italy are very bad, normally! I terminated 488th on 713 classified, that its not too bad considerating the lack of training in the last 10 days. BPM were around 170-190 during all the 3-hours ride, except during descents of course. During the ride I saw two others BTwin: an FC3 and a red T3.

I see you availed of the Argos Shimano kit on offer before Christmas. Nice bit of kit. It is very nice to see and give you a "pro" look , but quality is not at the top. Materials are at the same level of the line "5" of decathlon, and it does not fit perfectly: shorts are ok, but the jersey is too big: it seems it was designed for fat cyclists! It was ok because I found it discounted at 49 euros, but it is not a good idea to buy it at regular price.
