www.retrobike.co.ukmy other favourite forum. Love looking at the classic machines of the glory days of mountain biking, when i was young and fit enough to do it, but skint enough to not be able to afford to do it I've mentioned my retro Zaskar on here before, but here's a pic of it anyway Attachment DeletedHad it from new (bought just as a frame) and built it myself. all components apart from the seatpost, saddle, bars, stem, shifters, tyres and headset are original. the other bits have been replaced during the recent rebuild because they were either knackered (seatpost was bent) or I just fancied an upgrade.

here you go, mate. The Orange P7 taken on a recent trip to Iceland where it took everything Iceland could throw at it. I think I paid about Β£280 for it and it arrived in as new condition with all the original parts. It is my main touring bike now capable of tackling most surfaces and terrain. I had a Dawes Ultra Galaxy but sold it recently because this fine specimen was the first choice touring bike for nearly every ride. I had some wheels built up by Spa Cycles. The front has a SON dynamo hub built into it for recharging my gadgets en route and for feeding the lights. The gearing is Shimano XT. I replaced the original straight handlebars and stem, fitted mudguards and rack, the Brooks B17 saddle, a new layback seatpost, A530 pedals and a bike prop stand. It is very comfortable for an all day ride.
