My first post said Tribal too.....maybe there's an omen in there somewhere. Hello to everyone, I've been on here a couple of weeks and have already found it friendly and informative. Thanks everyone. ??

Hi dazb. Welcome on here. I've found it a very friendly, informative and helpful site. Whereabouts are you located? David.

I know I don't post anywhere near enough. Even after having my Triban for just over a year and visiting here regularly, I still consider my knowledge just too limited to offer any real addition to conversations.
I do like it here though and will try and engage a little bit more.........honest!

I figured I should probably register as I've been lurking for a couple of weeks stealing bits of advice from old threads. A few weeks ago I decided I was tired of the short but tedious drive to work so after a bit of a Google search went out and bought myself a Triban 500SE. Following the cycle paths it's about a 6 mile commute each way but I'm keen to build that up for some longer rides.

Hi I'm from Bolton, use my btwin for getting to and from work. Don't have a huge amount of bike maintenance knowledge, hoping this site helps me ?.

Hi David, Thanks for the welcome. Yea, I think I'm going to enjoy this little forum. I've had my T3 since October 2011 and I still keep going into the shed where I keep it to have a look at it. Quite sad really. But I'm proud to say it still looks as good as new.
Cheers Dave:(saddler)

forgive me but i think part of the problem for people lurking is the website looks so early 90's compared to the likes of other forums and is slightly a little bit more difficult to navigate.

Totally free, nothing paid for, no money handled etc. - even adding extra functions on here costs.

Nah most people lurk on here because they are in total awe of the likes of @davefy7 Radchenister, r0b1et a whole host of other awesome athletes and my good self Rocket We are all humble and approachable though.

LOL, I hope so but we're not really the beginner road riding / newbie focused forum we once were . We could consider upping the level a bit, but now's probably not the time, we're all supposed to be chilling out. Perhaps one for discussion in due course !? We'd need some willing IT geeks and cross the line into handling dosh for starters - should always be free to members IMO, but the step up to running kosher accounting is also a bit of a pain.
