Had a funny weekend. I was supposed to be in the Lakes cycling but ti was cancelled so i went out on saturday on my Carbon Focus, and... It broke down! a problem with the bottom bracket meant i had to park it. It's now in the shop and i wont get it back until the end of the week. I had a 50 miler planned with my Brother-in-law (his longest to date) so I used my Triban 7a. I haven't done any further on the T7a than 30 miles, and this was one was 54 miles and involved a fair bit of climbing. It took us a bit longer than normal because My brother-in-law hasnt climbed like this before. I have to say, it was fantastic, brilliant and comfy. I had changed the saddle to a Prologo, but I have no reason to believe the stock saddle wouldnt have been as comfortable, in fact, the only reason i swapped was because i got the prologo so cheap! The only downside is the Tiagra brakes i fitted just dont have the power of the Ultegra's on my Focus but thats to be expected here is the route: app.strava.com/activities/65339051

Nice effort mate. That climb just shy of twenty miles must have hurt in the heat. Well done

Its a tough one, theres a sign half-way up warning that the gradient is 14%. I can cycle it but i do have to stop halfway.
