If anyone's in the South Birmingham area I'm up for a spin. Work permitting . Although still a distance from me I would be game for Birmingham jdebuse Where are you based then mate? I'm South near the Waseleys, Clent, Barnt Green and Alvechurch. Been on some good routes with a club in the area.

I know that we're spread far and wide, but as some of you might know Rads and myself are trying to get together once a month if poss for a ride. Well, we're planning the next one probably Sunday 23/6 or 30/6 around the oxford area,as this is roughly in the middle for most of us(I know some are just to far to make it feasible for oxford but maybe you could organize one for your area). The ride we did last time was 'quite' flat with only a few slight hills, a nice easy pace. It would good to see a few others out for ride as well. Let us know if you want more details. Dan has sent me a proposed route as an idea for this run, looks good ... we could call it 'The Oxford Circular'; so who's in and what date is good (max gradient 7 - 8 % for a short spell, generally 6% ish elsewhere) ?

Not many takers on this - no-one up for a social?
If you're worried about pace then don't be, this would be a chatting and sightseeing session.
As long as you can do a 20 kmh + ride average then you'd be fine, we'd just stop a bit more often than usual - I have sussed out that unless you ride with a mate a lot, the chatting and direction finding etc. means it's not going to push your limits too much ... dealing with new terrain and unknown routes is the main challenge.

I've just checked the location of the ride and Silverstone, think we'll be fine but if we get splatted then blame it on those boy racers - but at Β£200 a ticket for the race ... blimey, surprised anyone is going at all?

Right, now you're all inspired by Le Tour, who's up for this?

Google Earth; it's free, but you need to download the package.

Draw it in BikeHike as easier to do, export a .tcx and then load into Google Earth.
