I own and am extremely pleased with my 57 Triban 3 in red. the only upgrades made are Shimano 501 wheels, Michelin tyres and a san marco saddle. Whenever I pop into my local Decathlon Branch I am told that they will be getting more red threes in 'shortly' even though they seem to be selling the inferior white ones for the same money!
I'm not sure I believe them to be honest and think that the current range line up is what you are going to get from now on!
What do you guys think?

agree but dont agree the 3a is inferior, microshift perform well and it seems the only judgement is made on the lack of carbon fork, big deal it has a raked steel fork, it does the same job as a carbon only slightly heavier the red is being phased out

On a component front it is, bearing in mind they charge the same price. Even for Steel forks, those on the Triban 3 are woeful. You would need to spend at least another Β£90 to Β£100 to match those on the red 3. Also the red actually has a sora front groupset and a 2300 rear. Even the 2300 is quite a bit more expensive to replace than Microshift.
Don't get me wrong, the new Triban 3 is still good value for money, but nowhere nearly as good as the red one for the same money, and I think Decathlon are now wise to this.

The carbon fork should be much more comfortable on long rides though, so it's not just a weight advantage. If it was a cro-mo fork then that would be an improvement better but it will be a bog standard hi ten steel fork. It just becomes a pretty normal bike now, like a budget budget bike for under Β£200 but with brifters rather than handlebar mounted thumb shifters.
