First ride since the snow and only second ride on T3 about twenty miles ten of which was into the teeth of a strong head wind. Only problem I had was cassette kept hoping from one gear to another under load need to investigate cause.

Well done, its been hard going the last couple of weeks.
Your probably find your rear mech needs re indexing due to cable stretch/ new cables bedding in, have a tweak around with the black plastic barrel adjuster on the back of the rear mech where the cable feeds in and if necessary the barrel adjusters on the cable from the shifter.
That should be enough. if not drop it into top gear (smallest cog on the back) and take up the slack in the cable.

Brave man malcermie! Not a chance of a ride out here. Extremely windy, horizontal rain. Not ideal cycling conditions. Good tip magic. My T3 has hardly seen the road since I bought it back end of October due to the attrocious weather. Saying that, I have noticed a little bit of cable stretch on my brakes and gears.
