He might just be ill Fluff? It is possible but I do think it is more, some times I wish I wasn't so cynical though.

Interesting, do you think he's suffering with something similar to what Cadel was last season possibly? Press release says the chest infection has cleared up.
If he does end up moving to another team, who do you think he'd end up with Fluff? Could be some big moves at the end of the season what with Radio Shack stopping meaning Cancellara will be free as well.

Don't see him at Radioshack unless they ditch the Schlecks. No idea where he'd go, he'd want to be the GC rider on whatever team though. He's basicly seen withing Pro-cycling as a full blown Prima Donna and "difficult" which will make things a bit awkward in shifting teams.
Pity because he does have talent.

Just noticed Sky are saying the chest infection has completely cleared up. EDIT: Just to add something I saw on Twitter several months ago, it was Froome's fiancé saying that if people expected to see Froome and Wiggins in the same race wearing the same colours then they were wrong. This has been brewing for a while and robs us spectators of one of the best GC riders around.

I thought I read somewhere that Radio Shack were closing at the end of the season, although rumours of Trek taking on the team in the same way Cannondale did with Liquigas. It is a shame not to see him in the tour, but I do remember seeing something about the tweet you mentioned from Froomes fiancé. How many previous winners have then not been in the following years TdF? Can't be many.

TDF went past my road a few years back and I was at the side of the road with a big sign saying
"ride it like you stole it ! "
Got a chuckle from the police and some of the riders

There were three tweets, all since deleted but recorded in a lot of places. "Chris & Brad on the same start line, in the same kit? Mmmmmm… doubt it! — Michelle Cound (@michellecound) April 30, 2013 To those claiming that this Wiggins/Froome thing is some sort of publicity stunt, you are wrong. — Michelle Cound (@michellecound) April 30, 2013 I look forward to @teamsky clearing up this mess (ASAP) #fedup — Michelle Cound (@michellecound) April 30, 2013! Quite common actually, I'd guess at least a third including some of the greats such as Hinault and Merckx. I recently saw a list but can't track it down right now.

Make the Tour of Britain a date in your diary; that's not too difficult to achieve - hop a train if you have to. I'm toying with the idea of cycling to Paris for the finish of the TdeF but it's only in the wacky idea phase at present, although I have sussed I can do here to Newbury and stay with a pal, then onto Portsmouth and stay with my uncle and then across to Le Havre and half way to Paris in a hotel, ride into Paris on the final morning - watch race and then reverse. I will be going to the closest stage this year - told the Boss already. That will be the Stafford stage. I haven't seen the stages yet. Will there be one in Stafford this year?

I remember seeing that last tweet somewhere, wouldn't be surprised if Wiggo retweeted it, certainly not what it seems.
Didn't think it would be common, people not able to defend their title, interesting.

He failed with the Giro - Man Flue my foot!!!!!. His heart just wasn't in it after the 4 minutes down. The idea of supporting Froome is just too much for him after the Giro. I think he was also not as focused as he shold had been for the Giro by the distraction of the TdF team leadership. He was making all that noise about leading out early in the Giro when things look good - notice how quickly it all died out? He's not the man he was any more. Still support him anyhow. He made a huge impact to British prestige and brand British is once more striking fear into the hearts of the French and Italians as it rightly should! I am with Froome 110% for the TdF!!!

Ah that's the word I was looking for, thanks - PRIMA DONNA. He could start his own team. How hard is that?

Sky got a fast track in by being basicly an arm if British Cycling and having a direct line to the UCI, the other way of doing it is to have pots of money and pay the right people at the right time.
