I feel like I haven't got nothing to watch in the afternoons now Couple of good stage races coming up: 2nd - 9th June Critérium du Dauphiné 8th - 16th June Tour de Suisse Both World Tour and both with really good riders using them as lead ups to the TdF.

I'm been recording the Tour Series and now catching up with that at the moment . I'd get rid of Sky tv if it wasn't for euro sport and the cycling

Looking forward to the Tour, but Criterium starts Saturday so all eyes on that and Chris Froome!

Just been looking at the stage profiles and I'm not that impressed. Seven flat stages and five hilly stages that seem to have had the hilly bits ironed out to the point they're almost flat coupled with the conservatism that le Tour is normally raced with doesn't look thrilling to me. Best I can hope for there is a few really insane break-away artists to liven things up.
The climb up Ventoux (stage 15) should be fun as usual though I wish they'd put a Cat 1 climb in before it to make it really interesting. Stage 16 into Gap and stage 18 with two climbs of Alpe D'Heuz both have a load of potential but it'll depend on whether the peloton is in attacking mode or their usual negative TdF mode. I'm hoping attacking.

It will soon be French month! In this house we've just had Italian month for the Giro, buying Italian wine, cooking nice Pasta and Pizza, playing cheesy Italianate music (Italian Job / Matt Monro / Amore / Volare / Pav' etc. Nicoise Salad at least once during July and definitely on finish weekend is my speciality, the kids love it ! www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/nicoise_salad/

Thank you very much for this information fluffkitten. I was wondering what I was going to watch. Still catching up with the Giro I am afraid to say. Watching stage 19 at the moment.

I quite like it on ITV4 at times, Paul is entertaing and Phil 'The Voice' has my forgiveness over the LA farce but he is on probation , I like Chirs Boardman's input, can have them wibbling away in the back ground when I work - it's the sound of the summer for me; will also switch to Eurosport on occasions and for the highlights, usually watch those in the evening. The highlights from ITV4 are storming: Another clip to get you in the mood:

I have a habit of watching ITV4's pictures and listening to the Eurosport commentary.

Yes I'm happy to pay £2.99 per month to stream live cycling from Eurosport onto my PC or iPad. I wouldn't have time to watch all the sport that comes with the Sky package in any case. I have just booked a week in the Pyrenees (again!) so should be able to take in stages 7,8 and 9 of le Tour. I wouldn't like to give the impression that I am always on holiday. I usually only have one week a year due to having to run my own business but am pushing the boat out this year and having two. I guess I will have to watch a lot more of this:
