Tried it once about 12-18 months and found that it was all over the shop with regard to resistance levels. Didn't go back.

I see they run a TT on the famous V718 at Hull. I never got to ride this for real.

A clubmate has posted a compelling argument for RGT over Zwift for racing on our fb group, easier to copy and paste than paraphrase:
This post is just to let you know what I’ve been up to recently re virtual racing and to encourage any newcomers to giving it a go but also to advertise the great racing that is available on RGT. I do both Zwift and RGT and both have their merits but in my view RGT is so much better if you are a serious racer versus a serious trainer. What I mean by that is that RGT is geared towards people who love road or track racing or TT’s rather than training with gimmicks. The only real downside to RGT is that you need a smart turbo and two smart devices..ie a phone and a screen. The big advantage of RGT is that it’s FREE.
Also RGT represents bike racing much better. What you see on RGT everyone sees exactly the same cos the RGT server is doing the work..this means that collision braking is on..ie you can’t just ride through a bunch of riders but you have to ride round them and your speed will be reduced...going round corners is also an art as it is in real life..if you try and power too fast around a corner you will waist energy cos your power will automatically be reduced...going downhill your speed will reduce so you can’t navigate a hairpin at 70kph..so you need to accelerate out of a corner..positioning in a bunch is key..it’s 4 king great...I like Zwift but it’s nowhere near as good...it used to be the case that there were not so many riders on RGT..and it’s true that there are not so many riders or events but there are still loads to choose from..and another thing..you all ride the same bike in terms of performance..you can choose different make, kit etc but the performance is the same...there are no drops, no race assists such as aero or feathers or truck...it’s real racing not a game...there are TT events, track style events and tours..the recent tour du monde that I did was 12 stages spaced over 16 days..awesome...the reason for going on about this is that Rob Slater is going to try and reintroduce the chainggang (on the Dmrc course..yes you can upload your own route on RGT as well)...and/or some races for us to get involved in so I thought I’d put this out there for you all to consider..

A quick note to let you know that RGT now has an Android screen app. I'm using it on Karen's previous Galaxy S9 and it maintains a decent frame rate on low detail. Stepping up to Karen's new Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and it looks amazing in ultra mode. We both have USB C to HDMI powered hubs so our phones are on charge whilst outputting their displays to big screens.

Signed me and Karen up for a go at the race to the lighthouse tonight. Cap Formentor on Mallorca. Despite racing a 25 this morning I nailed it at an average power of 255W. It looked a lot better on Karen's set up with waves in the sea and random animals on the hillside. Best value virtual cycling platform out there as it's free. www.strava.com/activities/6024184119

Anybody tempted to join me on RGT for this year's indoor racing season? I have moved to a team called Moon Riders now and we are formidable.

Always been designed for comfort rather than speed I'm afraid.
Not used the RGT platform for a few years as I wasn't overly impressed with the first trial I had - That was possibly more to do with the wheel on trainer I had at the time though.
I have used Zwift since, but, having said that, I haven't been on there for a while either! Note to self: Must do more!!
