So following on from the revelation that PhotoBucket want to charge us all for this facility and are now restricting our accounts the question arises - what can we now use?
Two alternatives are Google Drive and Flickr. Unfortunately there is no easy way to swap over previous PhotoBucket links so photos previously posted to the forum will not display. Users would have to upload the photo elsewhere and edit their posts with the new link.
Open to further suggestions and help...

Test image I have shared on my Google drive account. Apologies for the subject matter as it's just a proof of concept and a bit involved. Looking for simpler alternatives.

Rough guide to posting photos from Strava:
- Take photos on your phone. - Use Strava app on phone. - Add photo to Strava log. - Edit Strava log by choosing add photo.
Then go to your pc (as I think its easier): - Click right on photo when displayed and choose 'copy image address' - Go into BROC post and paste url under photo option as you used to with Photobucket
If you have multiple photos on the Strava entry: - Click left on one of the photos to bring up a large photo - Click right on the large photo and choose 'view page source'. - Go to the page of source code and search for '.jpg'. There will be lots of them. - Scroll down the page to near the bottom and you will see a number of .jpg links clustered together. - Choose a link that is preceded by 'large' and followed by 'video'. (There will be one link per photo) - Go into BROC post and paste url under photo option as you used to with Photobucket

Thanks Paul. Took a while to find the block of code that had the photo links but now I know what I'm looking for...

What I usually do is upload to fb (privacy - only me). And then do the right click save link address thingie.
Another option for pics you want to be temporary (6 months I think it is) is snag.gy
