Rubbish bins in laybys cause more litter not less.
They do not get emptied enough so things blow out of them. People leave bags of the stuff next to them which animals tear open looking for food. Take the crap home with you ya lazy gits. It's your problem so take ownership of it.

People who ride horses on roads expect a lot of room from cyclists but when they get in a vehicle they do not give cyclists the same consideration. Witnessed first hand by some horsey brigade near Rivington.
Why is it acceptable to let your horse crap everywhere but not your dog?

Cycling next to wild garlic is one of the many pleasures of spring.

At this time of year I love seeing the wee lambs...minus the mint/rosemary.

Me too but I found myself actually looking at the little lambs the other day and sizing up their legs wondering how big they need to be for the mint sauce treatment.

As I am cycling along, I often wonder why southern hardmen have a sad expression on their emoji thingymajigs when mentioning headwinds on cycling forums.

Sorry to drag up an old topic, just reading through this section, on our second period of not going out, but......
Why is it so difficult to buy an N+1?
Looking on Gumtree for example, what do i put in the search bar, Triban, B'Twin, though that is the correct way to spell it, or Bike, Bicycle, Gents Bike, Mens Cycle, or any other kind of way of saying i am after a particular sort of road going drop bar cycle.
Some people have not got a clue as how to sell their dragged from a stream frame and claim it it as a Vintage bike, maybe it was when it was chucked in π€, i did look at one Triban 500 for 75 quid, now both hoods needed replacing with cables as well, front brake caliper was hanging off, well the half that was not missing, front wheel not attached and both tyres shot, i bet the tubes were as well, when i pointed these out the reply was, well you can get all the bits on Ebuy, then when i said no thanks he dropped the price to 30 quid, to be fair the frame was the only good thing about it, BUT, the forks were in one position and the bars were looking elsewhere, i gave up and went home a bit depressed.
I am still looking out there, i have noticed that some ads have been pulled and re-advertised with a higher price tag, yeah well wait till the 2nd December and watch the prices drop π€.
Sorry about the rant, but i am not asking too much am i, a decent bike at a fair price, even the wife is feeling sorry for me.

I've been searching on Triban and Btwin. Plenty bikes coming up but not many in 57cm and no sign of my White Destroyer yet. The decent examples, as far as I can see from the pictures, seem to go for almost the Β£299 new price. Karen is convinced we will see someone riding our stolen bikes locally.
