Road bike owners club. There's only a few on here that partake of the dirty weekend. Nevertheless someone will know...

I have last years 560 and love it. Suppose my question would be how often would you use it. Better components on the more expensive bike but if your barely going to use it whats the point

As above it depends what you're doing, the 540 is a good all round bike, has carrier mounts and a wide range of gears with 3x9. The 560 has a lighter butted frame with tapered headset but despite the claims of the graphics no carrier mounts. The lower ratio 2x10 gears are more focused on off road use and the rockshox forks will perform better when pushed hard and the wheels have cartridge bearings. So while the 540 is a great spec for the money and more versatile the 560 will perform better when pushed harder on more challenging terrain.
