Mr Rocket mentioned this in the articles of interest but got no response. Is anyone watching it? For me it seems to transcend from quite interesting to absolutely irritating very quickly. I think I now find myself in the Darren Gough category - Enjoying it but not build for them mountains! Louie Spence just makes me cringe. The bloke and woman who are famous for being famous are annoying. The Blue Peter presenter needs to master the basics of cleats! Austin Healy is a bit cocky. Amy Williams is lovely - just lovely! Jodie Kidd appears quite normal and driven! Entertaining viewing, insomuch as I keep wishing I could do something like that.

I've really enjoyed it, despite myself! Have even found Louie Spence amusing and I NEVER thought I'd say that!
Interesting to see how they get on. I'd love the chance to do it, 8 weeks dedicated training and then a real challenge..o to be a talentless reality celebrity π

I watched the first episode. As a doer I found it irritating with all the errors and playing up for the camera. I may watch the rest on catch-up if I've nothing better queued up.

I can't decide if I like it or not but I'll certainly continue to watch it for interest. When I did the Children In Need Tour de Pudsey ride in September Jodie Kidd also rode the London leg but did still have her knee strapped, I know why now. Can I be the first to mention that I'd like to fall into Lucy's bush? . In all seriousness,, bar her huge fears (possibly for the cameras) she did come across in episode one as a fit young lady who was capable on the climbs, the other guy from reality tv though was a real wet blanket. From looking at Darren Gough I can't believe he appears to be in the top 3 in the show. He looks so out of shape but maybe it's the competitive sportsman instinct that sees him through.

Just watched the first 2 episodes on My5. Lack of options... They should have picked a bunch of amateurs from a cycling club instead. I can think of a few names who would be interested but.... We are nobodies so nobody would want to watch us eh?

The production values on TdC are clearly higher but of course C5 will have a lot more money to throw at the show than the Bike Channel did. If a non cyclist was watching the TdC they'd end up thinking our hobby was an extreme sport like bungee jumping. My wife worries enough about me whilst I'm out without seeing this .

Given what I see on Facebook, far too many people who do cycle, think cycling is a dangerous sport, not sure if that makes me worry about their competence in the road, or lack of knowledge. Tennis is more than 20 times more likely to kill you in an hour of participation, yet tennis isn't a dangerous sport

How the heck do you manage to kill yourself playing tennis! Beyond bored to death watching?
