Rather than start a new thread and as its that time of year again I felt it better to post here. I've just fitted my SKS chromo plastics to my triban 3 (original red). They fit pretty well and didn't take long to fit and there is no rubbing with 23mm tyres. I reckon 25mm tyres would rub. Update to my previous post - SKS chromo plastics fit lovely with no rub if you have 20 psi in each tyre. Promised youngest a ride tonight he was ready when I got in. Pumped tyres up, set off and front wheel was rubbing, took guard off and set off again, 200 feet up the road and rear is rubbing badly too. Ride abandoned and guards now removed. One annoyed 9 yo and one pissed off dad. So what does actually fit the t3 - red one?

any mud guard in my experience would require some fiddling. First thing to try is to get rid of that eyelet that is meant to attach to a brake bolt. Rip it out, make two holes at the appropriate spot and use zip ties to attach to the brake bolt - pull it up as tight as possible. If it clears, the rest will follow.
I found that Halford's 10 quid generic brand works wonders - had them on whole last winter, every day without an issue. Now, rear one is on my RTD-80, again full mudguard - perfect fit.
SKS half guard clip-ons would also work, however, they would leave brake caliper and head bearing exposed and under direct hit.

Since I don't do group rides a Gabba 2 jersey with the rear flap is my solution.

Just fitted the Crud MK 3s very solid compared to the MK 2s although had to cut the front one down to fit behind the front fork as I have 25mm tyres on with Ultegra brakes. Very easy to fit and the velcro is solid.

I'm amazed that wilks321 has made cruds work with 25s, but they have run fine on my T3 for 2 years running various 23mm tyres. When it gets wet, they make some noise, because the clearance is so little the water gets in there (damn you capillary action), but the rub of water is pretty minimal. They needed cutting for the rear to fit, but that's even in their instructions, they are massive for big frames, not for min-folk like me.

There's a lot I don't like that is probably fundamental to our lives. I'm sure wasps must be critical for some reason, the little b*****rs are annoying in every other way.

This thread is timely as I was thinking about mudguards recently. Ideally I would like something that takes 30 seconds to get on/off my. T5 - does such a thing exist?

Anyone try Crud Mk3 on a T3/500SE frame?
