Gone all carbon folks. Bought my lovely Giant in August. Not many miles on the Garmin up to press but many forays planned when the good weather returns. Until then, when time and weather allows, the T3 is the mainstay.

Blimey, have seen sloping top tubes before but that's nearly at the angle of the seat stays - should be a comfy ride been carbon as well.

Is that a Defy? I test rode one last New Years Eve. Very comfortable ride it was too.

Looks a bit hybrid like to me, are you sure you got the right size? Bars higher than seat can't be right?!

You're quite right lowey it's a Defy Advanced 2. Full carbon, 105 all round and disc brakes. Rides a treat. It's the right size william39 It's a bit of an optical illusion as the bike is leaning on the wall a fair bit. This was my initial ride on the bike. Faffed about with the bars a bit and raised saddle a bit more when I got home. Much more comfortable. Stem flipped as can be seen. I ride for comfort rather than for speed nowadays!

Photo taken on my test ride. . Similar model I think, full carbon including bars, and 105 group set. The endurance models do have a steep sloping top tube. My Trek Domane is quite extreme compared to my T3.

That's the one lowey the one you test rode is the 2015 model by the look of it. Almost plumped for it but waited for the 2016 model as it had a 12/32 cassette. Pretty handy for the hills round here!

Just done the same, 2015 model tho, so all blue and a smidge of black, fancied the disc brakes but honestly don't perceive the mammoth leap from the callipers with swisstops

I too have just gone all carbon. I put in an order for a 2016 Cube Attain GTC Race Road Bike which should be here later in the week.
I was thinking about getting the version with disc brakes but didnt want that extra 1Kg penalty. I bought a carbon mainly because of the weight saving. If its going to weigh as much as my triban 540 then there is honestly no point in buying it

Hi. So, what's the verdict? How do you like it? Of course, how are brakes? Good plenty enough, or you feel the hydro would be a necessary upgrade? cheers, ut

Heres my baby, complete with DT Swiss RR440 wheels Shes beautiful to ride. She handles effortlessly and surges forward when you put the power down with no delay. Only went for a 15mile spin on my commuting route but ducked into a park i pass by for a little jaunt around. Very impressed with the bike. Absolutely puts my T-540 to shame. Id love to use her as a commuter but she was was bought for something much more special then the 9-5 grind. She is my weekend bike and the bike i will do all if not most of my FNRttC rides on
