Hi all, I don't want to appear to be moaning, especially when I've only just joined. But does anyone else have problems of slow uploading "or is it downloading" speed when trying to navigate from one post to another. it seems to take a long time to load pages. Maybe its my Laptop, I don't know. but I don't have this problem with other forums I'm on.

Never had a problem myself.
What operating system and browser are you using. Hopefully not Internet Explorer?

It seems absolutely fine this evening.
It does slow up on occasions but most of the time everything is hunky dory. It's free so I think we do well out of it.

Like I say, I don't want to appear to be moaning and I know its free, but sometimes it takes so long to load the next page I've forgotten what I was going to write. Hang on, That could be the Alzheimer's kicking in lol.

Having pop up blockers or add blockers working on a user's device might slow things up on that device.

My operating system is Windows 8.1 OK no problem would highly recommend trying Firefox to see if problem still exists. I am running Firefox with Ad block plus add on and get a very fast response on pages. Many free forums link to adverts on other websites to generate revenue and this can slow things down if the remote sites are slow. Try that and report back, Firefox is free to download and if you don't like it you can always uninstall it

Having pop up blockers or add blockers working on a user's device might slow things up on that device. Tried turning off popup blocker and clearing cookies but no difference. its a bit late in the evening now but tomorrow I will try using a different browser, maybe Google Chrome or Firefox. Ill let you know how that works out. Cheers for your help.

I was having the same trouble, already on Firefox, Adblock plus cured it. I now get a message asking me to consider disabling it but the forum was unusable without it.

People are still using IE? I'm on a Mac and use Safari and Chrome and never had any issues.
