So my T3 is starting to look tired and I'm thinking about giving it a new paint job before I put on my 105 set which was on my other bike before I upgraded to ultegra. The thing is I keep changing my mind on colours etc so I was hoping you good guys and girls could throw some ideas my way ( pictures would really help me) My weapon of choice would be plasti dip I think as it's cheap and can be peeled off at a later date... Anyone got any experience of this?

The only bike that I have had painted was my Dawes Ultra galaxy. It cost about Β£30 to have it sandblasted and painted matt black and I was very pleased with the results. A tough and durable paint finish. Looking at how easy it is to peel plasti dip off, I personally wouldn't go down that line. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r7xvBSqhOE

Your right. I'm going to get it done by professionals the more I read about plastic dip the less I like it.
I've just striped the bike but I can remove the bottom bracket, any tips? The plastic teeth are falling apart when any force is applied.

The plastic teeth are falling apart when any force is applied. Take it to LBS. I'm experiencing similar with my old steel Dawes Shadow, balls and cup BB and that's what i intend to do. Once I get that sorted I'll make a decision whither to get it painted or not. It's been hanging in shed too long and as it hold many great memories impossible to part with. There are a couple of paint shops nearby who do bikes at a fair price but as far as I know no plasti-dip. Watched a couple of showings on you tube but don't fancy it other than perhaps winter protection.

Yeah I'm thinking about taking it to decathlon to see if they can get it out. I'm going to call round a few places tomorrow which are local that do powder coating

I dropped my frame off at decathlon today they are going to try and get the bb out and let me know tomorrow.
I've also found a local company that will dip it and spray for Β£45 which I'm happy with.

Just make sure they have all the necessary bungs to fill the holes and protect the threads from the paint.

I'm thinking good old grey. Just need to pick a shade. There is about 50 to pick from!
I need to call decathlon soon to see if they could remove the BB. If they have I can get it painted during the week and rebuild over the weekend.

No, you must get a set of 'Specialized' decals so everyone thinks you have no imagination whatsoever.
