OK, now that the summer is officially over and we move into Autumn, my attention is turning to cycling in the wet.
Last year I bought lots of cheapish wintery wet weather kit. However, given a bit of weight loss, I think I can now justify replacing at least some of it with better quality 'smaller' kit.
Its easy to work out what to wear when its absolutely chucking it down, but what are the essentials for those mixed bag days when its threatening rain, but you don't want to get out the heavy waterproofs?
Hope that makes sense? What I am getting at, is are there magical waterproof shirts (Gabba 2 perhaps?) or lightweight things to put over white shoes (other than plastic shopping bags)? I'm assuming no difference in bib tights? With gloves, I'm undecided upon sticking with heavy Aldi specials that soak up the water and take ages to dry, or buying something else?
Thoughts welcome chaps.

Gabba 2 short sleeved jersey and Nanoflex arm warmers. Expensive but worth it especially if you have to get out in all weathers. I have the choice to not go out but since I bought them I actually enjoy heading out in poor conditions. I will probably add the bibs and leg warmers plus gloves and overshoes when the time comes.

Not got a Gabba 2 but it's on my list ready for the winter.
