Hey Just bought my 500se and it's a beauty!! One thing I have noticed is the wheels seem to have a little wobble when I free spin them... It's very slight but can see it if I look for it. I have only gone around the block on it to check saddle position. Can this be normal on new bikes? My other question is my weight for this bike. Not a fatty, think more rugby player, anyway will this bike cope with it? I went for the 57 if that makes a difference. Oh and it was sent to me by courier so I wasn't able to look at it in a shop. Thanks in advance Al

Al, firstly welcome.
As a rider who has to look out for "slightly" larger clothing myself.
I don't think the issue is with you, especially after such a short trip.
If you are anywhere near a Deca store, give them a buzz and arrange to pop along for a check over.
If not give their customer services a buzz.
I'm sure others here will back me up, they are normally very accommodating with genuine issue.

I have a 500, which has the same frame. I also have a 57 and I weigh 93kg. I don't have any problem with the wheels at all.
I can only suggest you take it to a shop if possible.

Yep agree with Red DevilWell on the chunky side myself and no issue on a 57cm T3

Cool thanks for the welcome and the replies. I live in Bristol so can't get to a store. What should I look at? Make wheels are seated? Brake pad alignment? It is really slight and looked like a bit of a wobble before I even say on it.

Very slightly out of true isn't uncommon, if you're unsure, it gets worse or any spokes are loose get it checked. Particularly for heavier riders it's important you keep your tyres hard to avoid pinch punctures and rim damage.

Just be careful when going down hill. If there is a defect in the front wheel, you may incur 'speed wobble' if you hit a rough patch of road or even wind

Hey guys Quick update. Went out for a whizz round the block a few times and love the bike! when I got back I spun the wheels and noticed that the front has a slight side to side and up and down to it. The back is only has a very very little side to side (which is actually better than yesterday - maybe due to riding it?). Contacted Decathlon who came back and said to take it to my bike shop and get them both trued, then send the receipt and they will refund me. Great service. I will let you know how I get on after a good run out! Thanks to all who posted and made me feel welcome! Al
