Is is yes a 42/52 one it is very slighty oval instead of a perfect round shape when you spin it round (it was meant to match more of a walking rythm they said about it as the time and arrantly the sticker on it says computer designed)! The rear gears are shimano indexed as well.

Nice one. I have pretty much the same set up sans the 105. I quite like the biopace.

There's more info on it below was in production up to '93 I remember the top of the range Dura Ace groupset had it at the time that was found on professional team's bikes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biopace

Very nice, 531 is wonderful tubing, alive and light.
I'm stuck with 52/42 at the front of my Raleigh as the crankset has a BCD of 144 and 41t is the lowest ring you can fit, I am going to change the 11-21 on the back for a 14-24 though, there are enough hills around me to warrant it!
