Hi All,
My original BB on my T5a has given up - it's not had a bad innings.
Can someone confirm the size of a replacement? I think it's a 68mm rather than 70mm - is this correct?
This is the one I'm thinking of getting (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-ultegra-6800-bottom-bracket/rp-prod108701?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_name=UnitedKingdom&gs=1&gclid=CPiRvdyp5sMCFRPMtAodbVgAfw&gclsrc=aw.ds)
Thanks in advance for any help!
Ben.

Yes, 68mm English thread, at that price you may as well get the Ultegra, looks smart with black cups

Yes, I got the exact same Ultegra BB (68mm English) for my 5a a couple of weeks ago, and it does look smart

Great stuff. Thanks for the help.
I've never changed a bottom bracket before - any tips on tools or technique?
Ben.

If GCN haven't covered it, then it's probably not worth knowing about!

I changed my BB to the ultra 6800 one last night. Nice and smooth! Made me realise how bad my original had become after 5K+ miles.
Thanks for the help. It was all straight forward. The only thing i nearly missed was a spacer on the non drive side crank. I think it would have been alright without it, but spotted there was a spacer sized gap between the crank and the BB cup so took the crank off and put the spacer back on that i had missed first time around.
Taking it for it's first proper spin after work.
