I almost asked for one for Christmas but went for shoes instead, so far I've found I'd rather just get wet!

If I wrap up warm, most of the out stuff is "water resistant". Experience so far is waterproof stuff makes me like a boil in the bag chicken, I get as wet as if I wasn't wearing it, but in deeply unpleasant sweat. I've done a few 2hr rides in the pouring rain with just my Decca 700 membrane tights and Aldi soft shell winter jacket and been fine (cold when I get home if I don't instantly go in the shower). I'd not want to stop though, when I have stopped when wet, that's it, I'll get cold and never warm back up - that was a disaster on new years eve, where I had to cut short my fondo as I started to feel really ill from the cold (I'd got caught out by a short sharp shower).

My brother has one and is full of praise, completely waterproof and very comfortable, he rides Audax events and has been out all day in the rain, but not riding at a high intensity. I agree with r0b1et though that for shorter more intense rides anything completely waterproof will be sweaty and more breathable water resistant clothing can be more suitable.

I'm planning a trip to Coventry Deca this Friday to see what they have, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Alur as well.

Just pulled the trigger on the dark grey one also on offer for £34.99. Been waiting for this price drop for a long time. As mentioned above, just check out the review on road.cc.

I've been looking at this but it's a shame about the lack of hi viz on there. I only really want one for going back and too to work, ideally not a fluro one so i can wear it at lunch time etc.

I got one a last week at Stockport for £34.99 in grey, there was another 2 left in a size small, wore mine yesterday over a Decathlon base layer, Aldi performance bib leggings, short sleeved summer top and btwin 700 gloves, was a bit cool early on ( 8.30 ) but warmed up after a mile or so. Waiting at the meeting place (5 miles ) was again a bit cold but once we set off felt fine if not a bit too warm until the stop after another 22 miles at a stiff pace by my standards, when I removed the jacket I was dry except for the cuff of my base layer. On the return I got too warm having to work hard with the combination of small hills and the heavy winds, helped a bit when I opened the underarm vents, I stopped at my parents on the way home and only left after 5 pm for the final 10 miles home after the weather had calmed down, again a bit cold for the first mile but not to bad for the rest of the journey and I got home dry.

Pretty pleased I managed to pick up a small red, white and black one for £32.99. Not warn it on a ride yet... it's slightly big for me really (even though it's the small), but looks nice. Hopefully if won't get a test for months.

Only wore mine yesterday because of the unsettled and unpredictable weather, but mines a large size but I'm wondering about the sizing in general as I'm not a big bloke at 5" 9' or 1.75 metres for you youngsters and weigh in at 12- 7 or 80 kilos, and have always considered myself more of a medium ( 40 inch chest ) until recently. So anyway rOb 1et how the hell do you squeeze into a small ?

70kg and same height - small is perfect for me too. I ordered a medium, but deca took too long to deliver, tried on a small grey one found on the sale rail, and was too tight on the shoulders. small in the red/white was perfect
