Q. When is a Viner frame not a Viner frame? A. When it's Pro Carbon Frame in a new paint job. Planet X did by the vine company (like it did before with SAB and then Selcof) they had some lovely bikes, truly made at the Italian factory, especially nice is the frame sets they have left, notice it is fluro yellow.) As they are now own the Viner name, they have the rights to sell Viner branded products. A word or warning, these are NOT true Viner "Italian flair and heritage" frames, they are Pro Carbon frames with new graphics as you can see below. Not really a dig at Planet X, just a heads up for anyone in the market, research what you are getting.

A local bike club/charity placed an order for Viner frames to be painted in their club colours and shod with Shimano Ultegra groupset. PLX recently informed them that Shimano was no longer the option at that price, It would be Sram Rival.
Some people pulled out of the deal. - On the grapevine PLX have lost their buying power with Shimano so Sram is there preferred option now, as you will see if you look through the range.
Like I say, I'm not having a dig, they have done great over the last few years, the amount of their kit you see is phenomenal. Hey, they are my LBS after all.

Interesting, as the pro carbon ultegra 6800 I tried to buy was instantly out of stock and when I contacted them to see if I could blag the discount code on a 'reserve' order for when they come available they suggested I look at the SRAM equipped models saying it was just as good as Shim...maybejust personal taste but I would have Ultegra over Rival every time
