Here's a link to a website which publishes a comprehensive list of all reported incidents involving cyclists. There is a facility to report your own as well. It is interesting to see what has occurred on my own patch and to see where the high risk areas are. collideosco.pe/reports

so.. come to glossop for a ride!

Not many over my side of town. Mine isn't on there so going to add it. Neither is the fatal accident that happened in September actually.

I can imagine what is currently on there is a drop in the ocean compared with reality. If it becomes popular and used sensibly it will provide useful stats.

That's quite interesting, from both the perspective of a driver and cyclist.
There's quite a lot for my area overall, and interestingly enough the main road incidents around me all seem to involve females aged between 46 - 55.

The endless row of zero near misses confirms something I was reading recently. They seem not to be taken into consideration. It was highlighted that if planes or trains have near misses they are looked at very carefully.
As cyclists (also pedestrians) we are very vulnerable compared with most other road users. There are very few days go by when there isn't a moment or two when fear taps me firmly on the shoulder when i'm out in the saddle.
Not the nicest of feelings...

As the website says.the data relies on user-submitted reports, you shouldn’t use it to compare the safety of different areas
So pretty useless really.
I'm sure we could get better figures from the who's getting out there thread in the members section.

If I reported all my near misses to the site then I would never get out on the bike, it would just take too long. There are a few near-misses in Coventry, they all seem to be from the YouTuber I'm subscribed to who commutes on his bike so there are clips too. I have had auto-responses from Coventry City Council about my 2 reports (I added the one from back in January too) so at least they will find out about them, not that there is anything they could do to prevent either from happening again.
I have already signed up for the nearmiss.bike one although not sure I'll be out on my selected day.

Interesting stuff, the roundabout at the exit to my estate has seen some action. I reported a near-miss, which isn't recorded on that website (the only time I have ever reported a bike-related incident to the police).
I now use the underpass, this information has gone some way to convincing me that I am correct to do so.

I've reported my crash (with lady who drove away) and 2 near misses. Nothing will come of them. Even though the crash was on a corner that already had a reported incident.
