Here's a Strava challenge for anyone looking to complete their first 100 miler.... and anyone else for that matter. An added bonus is a 25% off voucher for SiS products on completion of the challenge. www.strava.com/challenges/sis-summer-challengePrize Information Athletes who complete the Challenge of riding 100mi in a single ride will receive a SiS Summer 100 Challenge digital finishers badge in their Trophy Case. In addition, participants will also earn a generous 25% off coupon for use at Science in Sport. PLEASE NOTE: SiS ships to most parts of the world, excluding the US & Australia. You can review their list of supported countries at the bottom of the Official Rules section to see if your location is supported. The coupon will be emailed to eligible participants by September 5th, and will expire on September 31st. Additional Info You have to ride 100 miles in a single ride, and the elapsed time of the ride must be under 24 hours. To ensure you meet the Challenge goal, we recommend you ride a small amount over 100 miles during your activity (about 3 km / 2 mi). This will give you a buffer in the event your activity distance is shortened after upload to Strava due to the cleanup of GPS irregularities. You can learn about how distance is calculated for our app by reading this Knowledge Base Article. The Challenge period starts and ends based on each riders local time zone. Manual entries or trainer rides will not count towards your Challenge effort. All activities logged during the Challenge period must be uploaded to Strava no later than three days after the Challenge ends.

Good to see them advise going over the 100 miles to minimise the risk of under shooting after the GPS recalc on upload to Strava. Nothing worse than going for your first or any any ton only to find "Strava says 'No!' ".

I went up Cheddar Gorge twice last week and Strava said no. Second ride was a 68 miler. I'll ask Strava to take a look or edit the track myself.
