Rad will stuff me for a start, I've barely done 12miles on days other than Buckingham Palace day, rad does 17 on a bad day... And my weekends I have the kids so I actually find it harder rather than easier to get a decebnt ride in (that said this weekend I'm taking kids to my parents so they can baby sit which will get me 2hrs and a bday party near their Mum's means I'm giving them back early so will be a decent length Sunday afternoon ride in the making).
I'm like Nibali, let me have my yellow glory for now.

You have to earn the jersey and right now there is a guy who has done double your mileage over the 6 days. Them's the rules

A short ride will count, I reckon 30 minutes at pace should do as a minimum or what's the point of getting changed? We'll allow rest on the rest days and also catch ups on rest days for if you miss a ride due to diary pressures. ...but nope, just watching is a cop out, I'm going to try and watch every live second of broadcasting on ITV4 (on PC screen 2 whilst working, book all appointments out of race time etc.) ! There you go. Catch up on rest days. BROC TdF Breaking News: the greybeards have consulted and there may be a way back into the tour... The diaries are coming out and heated exchanges with 'support crews' are taking place

Thanks brother @davefy7 - the whole point of this silly idea was to understand how gruelling getting out everyday is for the peloton ... but we're not being precious, join in now or miss a day and catch up ... ... but ultimately, just do some riding. I certainly learnt this lesson on days 2 and 3 when the legs were weak and the spirit was even weaker. By day 4 I was looking for excuses to drop out However in the spirit of silliness and in the light of recent greybeard 'rulings' I may try and claw my way back into the peloton doing double shifts in the saddle. I may fall again but as rad says what this is all about is to 'ultimately, just do some riding' Allez!

You are new here r0b1et you will learn who does the most miles in time... I'd say yellow and green are out then r0b1et, there's always the polka dot jersey to ride for...

Carlton Kirby on Eurosport says 10 days before a rest day is too long so feel free to drop out everybody.

I rarely go for evening rides just due to kids bath/bedtime etc. But went for a blast last night and felt buzzing when I got back - loved it. Radchenister - Thought I'd beaten your time coming back over the bridge (as had corking tail wind)....lost by about 5 seconds - damit!!!! On plus side - VV score went up fair bit

We'll go and have a good go at that one soon if the wind's right - only ever done it coming back from Wales when tired so should be able to knock a chunk off it if fresher.

Got out for a run. On a day down but I'll try and catch up. No idea how knee is because I took 2 painkillers an hour before going out. Legs felt decent over a hilly 14 miles. app.strava.com/activities/164570489
