Just completed the 170 mile WOTR cycle ride from Morecambe to Bridlington over 3-days with 5 friends on my trusty Triban 3. Really great ride with some tough hills and a hairy decline! The Triban 3 did me proud again. It got me round the Ride London ride last year, and this was another step up on that, with some varied surfaces to ride on. As people have said before, for Β£300 (cheaper now!), this bike is absolutely brilliant. Cannot fault it. I am still thinking of getting the new Alur 700 as a new summer bike, but have to say that it will need to be damn good to be better than the ultra reliable and efficient Triban 3.

Nice one, Bernie. Where did you overnight?
Those Alur's do look good.

Hi Dave. We stayed as follows:
Wharfe View B&B in Burnstall Holgate Bridge B&B in York At finish in Bridlington we stopped over for one night in the Swallow Hotel before returning home.
All places we stated at were very good. Would recommend.

He mentioned that he felt the climb out of Settle was the hardest.

My next door neighbour did that ride about a month ago, I believe he did it in four stages (so three stops). He had awful weather for it, rain in their faces for the whole of the ride, except for when they could see the sea at Bridlington, which is when the sun came out!
@bernie he mentioned that he had to do an off-road bit for a few miles, it was either that or a big detour to stay on proper road. Did you do the same?
well done BTW.
