Bit of a cycle newbie here - Been enjoying reading around some threads on here (The Right Triban was a particularly good). I have recent purchased a 500SE 60 frame. Using the method of looking down at the front spindal and handle bar - the stem is probably 20mm too long (it's currently the standard 110mm jobbie). When I bought it, they tried to fit a 100mm off the shelf but said it didn't fit - I forgot to ask why and what sizes are needed - given this, I am reluctant to go ahead and order a BTWIN 90mm from the decathlon website. I've already turned the stem around to raise it slightly but still too long.
Can I just order a replacement BTWIN stem from decathlon website or can anyone recommend a cheap 90mm stem that would fit onto my 500SE?
Cheers!
