So I have a white triban 3a, if you've seen my post on "your btwin" there's pictures but it is just standard "out of the shop" spec. I'm not entirely sure where to post this so thought this might be the best place in general for advice and tips on where people have picked up some bargains for standard upgrades. I'm no performance athlete so I'm looking at more comfort and appearance upgrades. I like the white appearance of the 3a so although it will require regular cleaning, white saddle and white bar tape are definates, but where did people get these from? I have seen the Charge spoon online for around Β£18 which is worth a shot but in terms of bar tape and stems etc (as I believe I need a slightly shorter one) where did people find their best deals? I'm looking to keep a white (maybe silver also) theme. Thanks for any help you give guys.

Have a browse through the what have you bought now. And bargains threads (there really are loads). Wiggle would be a good place to start though. Have fun, and don't spend too much. I'd be careful going down the all white route, that don't end up with a T3 that resembles a ghost bike that you see tied to lampposts. Unless that's the look you're after.

Charge spoon saddle is a good place to start. Shimano r501 wheels new tyres - something puncture proof clip less pedals/shoes
That should keep you going and deliver some comfort/performance improvements.

I'd go for the Charge Scoop over the spoon - no stitching to chafe.

I was going to go for those shoes but managed to get a pair of R107s at a cheaper price. Good shoes though.
