Got some of these yesterday fitted them after a painstaking hour or so of adjusting, they were recommended by the guys in store so I am surprised that they were as awkward and not as good as I imagined. I wanted some Raceblade Longs originally but as I commute a 12 mile round journey to university I had seen that today was due rain so needed them there and then to fit them for this morning so the raceblades wouldn't have arrived in time (Ebay). Took the bike out today (triban 3a) and the vibration off them was horrendous, the adjustments kept coming loose causing them to rub on the tyres halfway to university. All in all I wouldn't recommend them I only got them as I didn't fancy getting wet for a day or two but it would have been worth it for the wait for the raceblades. Shall be returning them tomorrow for a refund and getting some raceblades.
Hope this helps anyone looking for some mudguards.

Hi nomoreheroes, thanks for the reply. No I haven't they are the ones that strap to the frame instead of the quick release bolts aren't they? I have heard that they can slip though and need quite a fair bit of adjusting is this true?

I've not found the Roadracers needing constant adjustment - Even if they did, adjustment is really simple. Take a look at the videos here . I bought them as I wanted to stop the spray into my feet, back of my legs and front mech from the rear wheel. The Roadracers seem to give the best coverage there. They are also pretty light and unobtrusive, so I don't mind having them on all the time.

Recommend the cruds as well, if you follow the video they are easy to fit and mine haven't come loose or needed any more adjustment.

Not any real help here but, as an observation, I bought a pair of Zefal Trail blades for my "other" bike. They are easy to fit. The front one does its job well but the unsupported tail end of the rear one flaps around all over the place and doesn't stop spray going up your back. Fortunately I am not obliged to ride in the rain so I rarely do if I can help it. www.amazon.co.uk/Zefal-Trail-City-Clip-On-Guard/dp/B004R4I6XI

Thanks for the replies guys, Yeah I think I'm going to try the Roadracer MK2's, I know summers around the corner but I will have them so there's no excuses to not go out when it's a bit damp.

Abit of a late reply guys but yeah I managed to pick the Crudcather MK2s from Evans Β£21.49 (pricematched wiggle) and I can say they fit spot on and can easily be taken off and put back on, I took them off when it was sunny in the morning only to find it had rained throughout my entire exam I had a 6 mile worth of wet ass on the way home!

I leave mine on - Light, unobtrusive & clean the braking surface.

I have a set of RaceBlade Longs that I've been using on a Triban 7a for a while now. Build quality is excellent but the gap under brake means the brake gets filled with crap.
Also I fitted 25mm tyres and the clip under the rear brake which holds the small mudguard piece between the stays and the seat tube rubbed and stopped the wheel rotating. Had to remove the clips. haven't tried them since.
also the little piece of mudguard that i mentioned above rubbed on the seat tube and took the paint of
