Oooo nice, what rack are you using for your T3, been meaning to get one... Sorry about the huge bump and late reply! The rack isn't that great actually it came with my hybrid I got in 2010 (Ridgeback Speed). The problem is my heels hit the bag unless I move the bag one rung back. My suggestion would be to buy the rack from a LBS, and if your heels and bag have a coming together, return the rack to the LBS, or at least ask them to sell you one that doesn't result in heel strike.

About to step foot into the murky world of T3 touring next weekend. Any tips, other than make sure you can still pedal with the panniers on?!

Aldi have some racks in at the moment, for Β£15. Quality wise they seem ok.

I'd say make sure either side is evenly weighted, don't let anything stay loose that'll be damaged by being rattled around, and be careful when moving the bike when not riding it. The rear end will be a lot heavier and might catch you out!
