Very impressive with the stats on screen, was there a problem with the sound, I couldn't hear your commentary as you were riding, just some heavy breathing? It's a good job I didn't have one of those on when I went up Riber last month, you'd have heard me shouting at myself to keep going and not to give up!

Hah, I didn't want to waste energy by swearing at the nasty bits. The stats are added by Garmin Virb Edit. You take video recorded from anywhere and an accompanying .gpx or .fit file, sync them up by finding a common point and it does the rest. It's really easy to use, has a bunch of different layouts and gauges and things, and best of all is free.

I bet it doesn't. Its a horrible little road. The only reason to use that road is because 'its in the book'

Did #21 Steyning Bostal, and #22 Ditchling Beacon yesterday. Ditchling Beacon was surprisingly tough, I was expecting something a bit easier for something that's right at the end of the casual London to Brighton. The hill didn't know when to stop. Really nice surrounding areas though, first time I'd been in the South Downs. Trekked across to Steyning and went up Bostal, was a bit knackered by then so went up a little slower than I otherwise might have, but it was an enjoyable hill, could almost describe it as cute. #22 Ditchling Beacon strava and squeaky cleat youtube (with descent)

It sounds like Mr 100 and Mr VV may be close to getting the 2nd book on the leaderboards. Here is another map with all 200 on, this one being different in that it has most segments stated (albeit for the 2nd book they are not the 'official' versions and could end up a bit different). www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zQBsFLyv-TXA.kcMadFlQM3gQLooks like my ascents of Dragon Hill and Chalkpit Lane won't have to be re-cycled if they use very similar segments to these. Hooray! I never want to do CL again, I've done it twice now, but with slightly different lead ins.

I have done 13/14 in the SE for 'original 100', and 6/9 in the SE for 'another 100'. I could have done Mott St last Saturday too. And have not done any outside the SE.
So basically done 19 of the 200.
My points value is poor, but for anyone who wishes to be a bit competitive about it my combined points is 576.4 + 226.4, ie 802.8
I am not sure if the 'placing' bonus is actually correct, so could be subject to change.

I'm going to try to get 14/14 for the SE in the original 100 before I go on holidays in 3 weeks time. I've got 6, should be able to knock the rest out. KiwiBeard, any tips for routes to hit the 3 out west (Combe Gibbet, Streatley, Whiteleaf) - possible to do in one go or is it likely multiple days?

I did 5 in 2 trips. ie app.strava.com/activities/137527001app.strava.com/activities/136677267At the time the Hungerford loop was by far my longest and I was shattered near the end. I also did 16 ascents of Box hill that week. If you just want a loop for those 3 from the 1st book only, then you're looking at about 160kms between them.

Thanks!
That Hungerford looks a bit too lumpy for my liking (I'm not doing these for fun, a bearded man once said), so may just do Combe Gibbet and Streatley one day, and then copy your Chinnor to Princes Risborough loop for another.

There's also the option of just driving to the hills, cycle up and then down, and then drive to the next one.

I'll be driving some of the way, but it kinda feels like cheating if I don't include them on a longer ride. Think I'll get the train to Croydon tomorrow and nab the 3 out there and then ride home. The Wall is slightly awkwardly placed so not sure where I'll fit that in, maybe on a detour to Brighton.
