I did box hill, coldharbour (2nd book) and leith hill today. planned to do white downs as well but was too knackered so skipped it. leith hill was tough! Good one. The problem with White Downs is that it comes so close after Leith Hill.

nice work - cheddar is piece of cake though!!! I wouldn't argue with that, Rob. It's got the lowest rating out of 10 and is in there for the lovely scenery I think.

nice work - cheddar is piece of cake though!!! a piece of cheese surely Did the 'book' route for #117 - Chalkpit Lane. I don't know why he chooses that route rather than just doing 100% CPL, but I've done both ways now.

@davefy7 you rode Porlock (up it) Yeah. There was a traffic jam up there caused by a coach which caused a few problems. The driver gave me a thank you when he went past though.

Knocked off No 5 Dunkery Beacon, Porlock. Somerset yesterday rated 10/10. (aye right)
Today...... Abondoned my camp site in favour of a wild camp up the road so that I could get an early start. The camp gates were locked until 7am. Drove to Woolacombe for the first climb of the day. A bit of a rude awakening as I was straight into the climb.
No 7 Challacombe. Woolacombe. Devon.
Knocked that off and drove to Tavistock to do a West to East traverse of Dartmoor ending up in Bovey Tracey. This bagged me 3 climbs.
No 11 Rundlestone No 8 Dartmeet No 10 Widecombe
I then climbed back over Dartmoor and picked up another climb along the way.
No 9 Haytor Vale.

Another early start and a short 5 mile ride above Sidmouth to crack off another climb.
No 12 Salcombe Hill.
Sidmouth. Devon.

Checked the veloviewer ratings for Britain's 100 Greatest Climbs Strava Club. After this week's rides in the South West, I'm rated at 11th for the south west and 99th out of 1837 for the UK having registered 26/100 GPS rides. Obviously the more you do the higher up the ranks you go with bonus points for speed. I don't bust a gut on hills preferring to spin up the steep gradients so it is the ride completion that gets me there..!!

I've done one and painfully slowly - will have another go one day. Don't really live near any others.
