Anyone watching the section on Top Gear just now about cyclists?? Absolutely hilarious!! Bet the walrus-moustached lesbians on Cycle Chat will be apoplectic with rage.

I'll have to watch it now and see if they can offend me - if they can, then it's obviously really bad !

Forgot about this, I'll have to watch it on iPlayer later. I expect it will be a waste of time but we'll see.

Anyone expecting insightful, serious thoughts on cycling from Top Gear is looking in the wrong place. I thought it was funny and exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from the programme. It's my boys favourite programme. He's 5, which is probably the target audience .

Just watched it, Hilarious! You can't be offended by Clarkson in the same way you can't be offended by a baby blowing raspberries. To be offended by him would infer credence in what he says. To me he's an Alf Garnet like character who is to be laughed at for his extreme bigoted opinions.
Although I do think they have hit on a way for cyclists to stay safe on British roads and that's to have a cameraman filming other traffic from a motorbike riding in front of you....lol

I stopped watching Top Gear a few years ago, because I found it too contrived. In order to better the situations they found themselves in, they started over-scripting it.
Having said that, I did record last night's offering because of the cycling section. I'm looking forward to it - as has been said before, Clarkson cannot be taken seriously.

Just watched it properly, pure pantomime. ... but did actually try to get a few key points over to all sides, in a tongue in cheek way - I do think the skilled petrol heads might get the point anyway, it's the Saxo 'yoofs' / idiots / untrained cyclists you worry about but I can't see how Top Gear can deal with them any better than anyone else. Bit London centric as well but it didn't actually claim to be a public service film, so you take it for what it is, entertainment (... ish ... allegedly ) . Where's Paulinblack - he doesn't like buses ?!

I am so deeply offended by your post! I will only accept your grovelling apology if it comes with a free gift of a perfectly clean, well maintained and upgraded red Triban!

Don't do apologies - the T5a will be just as fast if you take the seat clamp out the spacer stack and remove the speed limit screw from the hubs .
