Just been watching Countryfile and was gutted to hear that the road along the Spurn Head peninsular has been washed away by recent storms. There is a coastguard and lifeboat station at Spurn Head and a small car park for tourists. I once wild camped by that car park on a grassy area by the water's edge. It was great to watch the ships sailing up the Humber and to listen to the waves breaking on the shore when tucked up in my sleeping bag. A wonderful experience. The storm wiped out a lot of Hebridean sheep and grass snakes as well as dumping loads of rubbish in the dunes. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-25696022www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-18546704www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-25643547

Sad news indeed davefy. Saw the programme too. The east coast takes a right old battering. Good pictures by the way.
