Just bought (excuse the spelling) some leyzene macro drive and micro drive lights.
Firstly WOW. 300 lumens at the front and 70 lumens at the back.
Miles better than my crapeye ones I had before. I could spot a deer in a field a mile away.
Feel far more reassured that I'm seen on my commute home at 1100 at night.
The downside? They cost a pretty penny. Β£40 nicker for the front and Β£30 for the rear...
But as a I convinced the wife... what price safety? eh?

Thanks for the positive review, I've had my eye on the Macro drive front light and will probably take the plunge though I'm still weighing it up against the Moon XP300 which is a similar price if you shop around.

I've got 2 x Cree XML T6s with diffuser lenses on my bike. One is allegedly 3800 and the other 1800 lumens.
Bought the second as the battery life isn't great. Was going to just carry the spare battery, but thought I might as well use them together and I stagger battery life.

Probably /3, and that is still bloody good. They really don't need to do it.

Agree about the exaggeration. I find that the two work together well and give me good visibility and a bit of redundancy.
I have the R2 on the back which is pretty good.

Is the R2 really as bright as people make out? Like the brightest rear light you've seen?

That's what I was hoping for - But no. It is very bright, but I'm sure there must be brighter. But I doubt there is anything as bright for Β£10 !

The number of attachments for this is quite impressive... I have on on the pannier rack, one on my saddle bag and one on the seat post so the light is always visible no matter what configuration I have with the bike and bags. It's also "bloody bright" I have a number of these Decathlon rubberised things on my helmet and bags to supplement the cateye

The best thing about the Lezyne lights is the USB charger, for me. I can never remember to change batteries on things, but these just come into work with you and sit in the side of your laptop. They're also bloody strong. Until they redesigned the rear mount, it was too easy for the rear light to dislodge itself and bounce down the road - mine did so on a number of occasions, even getting run over, before finally bouncing down the drain in Fulham one morning.
Thankfully, they've made the bracket a lot more substantial, so its replacement has not been tested in the same manner.

Lezyne are great lights I use the superdrive when I am out and about on the weekend. They are very bright for day or night riding and you can pick them up for around Β£40 on ebay. but for my commute I use this: mapdec.com/collections/frontpage/products/cree-2200lm-waterproof-bike-light . It has been fantastic during the winter and it seems to be 5 times as bright as the Lezyne. Great for my ride home by the side of the canal which is pitch black in winter.
