I see on bbc website that Froome may not ride TDF but go for Giro and Vulta double instead....we will see! Wonder who will lead Sky if he doesn't Konig! please Konig. The 'king' of cycling

Really? His name might be Konig and he certainly shows promise but he surely is some way off achieving that honorary title. Anwarter might be more appropriate at the present stage of his career

I wish I could find an umlaut on my keyboard however.

Kick in the balls for Ben Swift that. An Italian sprinter for the Giro makes good sense though.

Went to the Olympic velodrome last night to watch Round 1 of this years Revolution series.
Both my wife and I really, really enjoyed it. Great value with a full 3.5 hours of non stop racing Very well run with no hanging round between races.
Laura Trott was so dominant winning all 6 events in the omnium
The also ran a new event based on one in the states called the longest lap. Riders start around turn four and very slowly crawl toward the starting line. They aren't allowed to cross the starting line, put a foot down, touch a rail, touch other riders, leave the track, fall, or ride backwards. At a point between three and four minutes a bell sounds and the riders sprint around one lap.
Highlights on Channel 4 next Saturday 1st Nov 7am

Swifty has always had to poach for sprints. Sky haven't had anything close to a lead out train since Cav left. It takes years to get a lead out right and the Giro isn't far away. I do like Viviani though.

Are these done from a standing start? Would be interesting to see what kind of warm up they do before setting off.

I know we try to keep it racing related and positive on here but is anyone following the Tiernan Locke thing? www.cyclingnews.com/news/tiernan-locke-hits-back-at-uci-president-brian-cookson-over-suspensionHave to say he's beginning to grate with me, personally I feel let down by the local lad; I'm not sure if he's been on it or not but he's not doing himself any favours saying he has no respect for the UCI... so what does JTL have respect for then? There's not a lot left in his scenario, best reflect a little on where he stands and what he says I feel. On the one hand, he's into cycling but appears now to have turned on the UCI itself, funny how this happens now he's fallen foul but before that it was the passport, at times his liver / health and his professional position; currently it's moving onto the idea of rules / sanctions, saying he's not bothering to read the paperwork and not making an effort to clear his name. If feeling this strongly, why not stand unrepresented?
